A Helping Hand to the Underprivileged

In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, the OPTIMAL Group of Companies had on 3 November 2004 observed the breaking of fast held at the plant's surau and canteen, with the presence of more than 150 people.

In addition to OPTIMAL's personnel, the event was attended by local authoritative bodies, the headmaster and teachers from OPTIMAL's adopted school, Sekolah Kebangsaan Tebing Tembah, the community of Tebing Tembah, local orphanages and the under-privileged.

Representing OPTIMAL was its Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Yang Mulia Tengku Mahamad Tengku Mahamut who said, "This event is in line with OPTIMAL's objective to foster positive relations with the local community and authorities. Such a relationship is important to ensure that all parties, namely the community of Kertih, are able to embrace the on-going developments within the area."

Being a responsible and caring corporate citizen, the event also saw OPTIMAL making contributions to 70 orphans and the under-privileged.
