Mono-Ethylene Glycol (MEG), Di-Ethylene Glycol (DEG) and Re-Distilled Ethylene Oxide (RDO), using world-renowned EOG METEOR™ Technology from Dow, the most advanced, efficient and cost competitive technology for the production of MEG, DEG and high purity EO for derivatives.

Key Markets:
Both, MEG (the largest volume product manufactured by OPTIMAL GLYCOLS) and DEG are sold within Malaysia and to various countries throughout the Asia Pacific region.

RDO on the other hand is for internal consumption by OPTIMAL CHEMICALS (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD as one of the main ingredients to produce chemical and performance chemicals products.

Market Applications:
MEG is the basic ingredient for the production of polyester resins for fibers; PET bottles (mineral water, sodas); as well as magnetic media backing (audio and video tapes) and in antifreeze as well as electronics applications. DEG is primarily used in fibreglass application and brake fluid formulations.
