OPTIMAL took part in a mentoring program organized by Malaysia's Department of Occupational, Safety and Health (DOSH) in 2003.

The program, involved three to four trained personnel from OPTIMAL providing the necessary HSE training to employees from a small and medium size company called Gim Zam Plywood Sdn Bhd. 

Some of the HSE programs carried were understanding legal requirement, HSE management, workplace hazards, industrial hygiene, electrical and chemical safety, material handling and storage, personal protective equipment (PPE) as well as environmental awareness.
